Embark on an exceptional journey to Borneo, deep in the Tanjung Puting National Park, sanctuary of the iconic orangutans and proboscis monkeys that symbolize Indonesian wildlife.
This wildlife safari in Asia, similar in spirit to the great wildlife safaris in India, immerses you in a lush tropical world where nature reigns supreme.
Located in southwest Borneo, in the Indonesian region of Kalimantan, Tanjung Puting National Park covers more than 355,000 hectares of pristine forest crisscrossed by winding rivers.
Recognized as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve since 1977, it shelters exceptional biodiversity and plays a vital role in protecting the Pongo Pygmaeus, one of the three known orangutan species.

Along the park’s canals on the boat
Each day will be punctuated by navigation up the Sekonyer and Sungai Kecel rivers as far as Camp Leakey (about 60 km from KUMAI port).
The boat will stop whenever the photographer wishes, to take time for photos of proboscis monkeys, gibbons, long-tailed macaques, golden langurs, crocodiles, gavials, large lizards (cousins of the Komodo dragons), and/or birds.
In the morning, a trek to observe orangutans in their natural environment is planned.
You can choose the time with your guide — AS YOU WISH!
Then, the feeding stations operate between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m., followed by a return to the boat for a (hot) shower, lunch, and rest.
A new walk in the jungle in the afternoon and another feeding session at 2 p.m. at Camp Leakey.
Your guide will organize a tailor-made program for you and can change the order of the visits to avoid crowds during the jungle treks.
He will also be available for you to observe wildlife by day and by night.
This original way of approaching your fully private trip will give you time for your observations, your photos, time to feel and experience the jungle, to make it your own, and to be as close as possible to the animals.
