Nestled among the Aravalli Hills, 140 km south of Udaipur, Jawai is a mysterious land of granite rocks, temples and wild felines.
Known as the Land of Leopards, it is one of the few places in India where people and predators share the same territory in harmony.
Here, the Rabari shepherds, with their proud red turbans, live peacefully alongside around sixty Indian leopards (Panthera pardus fusca).
At sunset, the rocks turn pink, orange and gold — the perfect backdrop for a wildlife safari in India like no other.
Your adventure begins with Pradeep Singh, a local naturalist and driver born in Jawai.
His deep knowledge of the terrain and of each leopard family guarantees the best possible sightings and photo opportunities.
He will also introduce you to the Rabari culture, local temples and villages scattered across Sena, Bera and Jawai.
Welcome at the airport and transfer to Lemon Tree or Red Fox hotel, 10 minutes from the terminal. Overnight stay.
